Interdisciplinary Minor in Business and Engineering, Computing, or Technology
The Steven A. Denning Technology and Management Program offers the following minor opportunities. The program brings together students from various majors to work on real-world interdisciplinary team projects using the resources of corporate affiliates and Georgia Tech faculty.
- College of Computing students and the Scheller College of Business students with a concentration in Information Technology Management can earn a minor in Computing and Business.
- Other Scheller College of Business students and College of Engineering students can earn a minor in Engineering and Business.
- Students from the College of Design, the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, and the College of Sciences can earn a minor in Technology and Business.
Minor in FinTech
The minor in FinTech engages students in the study of an interdisciplinary field that combines principles in finance, computer science, and business. Through a variety of courses, students will learn the range of business models and technologies that are disrupting financial services. This minor prepares students for careers in industries and entrepreneurial ecosystems with rapidly growing demand for digital financial services, including mobile banking, peer-to-peer lending, digital currencies, and payment systems.
Minor in Leadership Studies
The minor in Leadership Studies provides students with in-depth knowledge of leadership theory, skills, experience, and application through a rigorous program of study that is multi-disciplinary in nature. The minor is open to Georgia Tech students from all majors and currently comprises two tracks, one in Public Policy and the second in Management. The two tracks are offered through the School of Public Policy in the Ivan Alen College and the Institute for Leadership and Social Impact (ILSI) in the Scheller College of Business.
Minor in International Business, Language, and Culture
The School of Modern Languages and the Scheller College of Business offer an interdisciplinary minor in International Business, Language, and Culture (ILBC). The minor is comprised of both advanced management courses and advanced courses in a foreign language and is designed to prepare students for global leadership by equipping students with the fundamentals of business and the ability to communicate across different languages.
