Students planning to attend professional graduate programs (like medicine or law) or students considering opening or expanding a small business after graduation may want to consider the General Management concentration.
The General Management concentration does not provide the depth in one concentration that most employers seek. It is recommended that students who do not plan to practice business immediately (like those continuing on to medical or law school) or those who will immediately open or expand a business after graduation. All other students should complete one of the other concentrations.
In order to satisfy the requirements for the General Management concentration, students finish all core classes and complete 18 credits (six courses) of advanced management coursework in the following fashion:
-
Complete five courses from five different clusters listed below.
-
Complete one course from any cluster. This last course can be from one of the clusters in which one of the first five courses was completed.
Students must earn at least a grade of “C” in all courses for a concentration.
