Dear Scheller Community,

As we welcome November and the upcoming season of thanks, I find myself already immersed in gratitude for the vibrant spirit of our Scheller community. We have seen great accomplishments and exciting progress over the past month. These milestones not only showcase our dedication to innovation and excellence but also the strength of our connections and bonds, without which we could not do what we do.

I want to first express my appreciation for the successful Advisory Board and Young Alumni Advisory Board meetings this past month. To our board members - Thank you for your commitment to the growth and future of Scheller. Your engagement and insights have been instrumental in shaping and achieving our vision of becoming the most interdisciplinary and connected business school in the world. A special thanks also goes to the alumni who joined us for receptions and meetings in Jacksonville, Brunswick, and St. Simons. I feel energized by our discussions.

In exciting news, our Scheller Executive MBA program was ranked No. 15 among U.S.-only programs by The Financial Times. Only eight U.S. public institutions were included on the publication’s list of top 100 programs around the globe.

We are also pleased to share that progress is being made on Tech Square Phase 3. In a new video, you can meet two remarkable Georgia Tech alumni, Jack Sawyer and Sabrina Bernstein, who are leading this development and learn about the design and construction of the building. Tech Square Phase 3 is a perfect reflection of the innovative spirit of our community and our bright future ahead.

One of the highlights of this last month was the successful launch of the TechForward MBA Conference, driven by our dedicated MBA students and the MBA Tech Club. This event brought together students, industry leaders, and thought pioneers to explore the transformative impact of AI on the business landscape. The conference provided a unique platform for real-time discussions about technology, with a structured focus on big tech, retail tech, and startups and venture capital. I enjoyed sitting down with Sean Henry, B.S. ‘19, founder and CEO at Stord, and Scheller Advisory Board member, for a fireside chat about AI and the future of entrepreneurship.

As the title sponsor of the Women in Technology Young Professionals program, Scheller also hosted Your Career in Bloom, an event aimed at supporting women in STEAM fields as they navigate their early careers. The evening featured an inspiring keynote and engaging panel featuring Scheller alumnae, highlighting the diverse and inspiring paths to success for women at the intersection of business and technology.

In more community building success, our Full-time, Evening, and Executive MBA student leadership teams hosted an exciting Diwali celebration for the Scheller community. It was an unforgettable evening of culture, connection, and festivity.

Looking ahead, I hope we can connect at one or more of the following events:

  • Veterans Day Reception: On November 11, we invite veterans and members of the Scheller community to a special reception honoring our military community.
  • Scheller in Your City: Charlotte: On November 12, I look forward to connecting with alumni in the Charlotte area for an evening of networking and updates about Scheller.

Also, the Scheller Staff Enrichment Committee is sponsoring a food drive for Georgia Tech’s student food bank, Klemis Kitchen. This on-campus food pantry serves Georgia Tech students with dietary needs and financial concerns that limit their access to proper nourishment. Kindly drop off food donations at one of the following locations in the Scheller building by Monday, November 25:

  • 4th floor: Mail room, Institute for Leadership and Social Impact, and Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business
  • 3rd floor: Executive Education Suite, Jones MBA Career Center Suite, MBA Office, Undergrad Office, and Dean’s Suite (Table behind the cubicle island)

Thank you for your support. I look forward to continuing to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead for connection, learning, and growth.

Warm regards,

Anuj Mehrotra
