Hometown:

Describe yourself in 15 words or less:
Focused, forward-thinking, high-energy, resilient, and powered by deadlines and caffeine.
Who most influenced your decision to pursue an M.S. Major in Management?
My mom was the biggest influence on my decision. She has always emphasized the power of education and personal growth, and it was her unwavering belief in my potential—especially during times when I doubted myself—that gave me the confidence to keep going.
What was your favorite business course and why?
My favorite class was Strategy Fundamentals with Dr. Anne Fuller. Her expertise in the industry and her ability to apply real-world scenarios to academic concepts was insightful and such an invaluable experience.
What advice would you give to an incoming M.S. Major in Management student?
I would say to try to network wherever and whenever you can during your time in the program, with professors, peers, guest speakers, and alumni. You never know when a conversation will spark clarity about your career path or lead to an unexpected opportunity. Plus, you’ll get to meet some great people in your cohort along the way that can become lifelong friends and great professional connections.
What activities were you involved with on or off campus, and did your business education impact those activities in any way?
I’m a real estate agent, and my time at Scheller has helped me grow my business in ways I hadn’t expected. From learning digital marketing strategies to developing a cohesive business plan through an operational lens, I’ve been able to apply several concepts from the program directly to my work.
What was your favorite event or tradition at Scheller, and why?
The Scheller holiday card shoot was one of my favorite events. It was a fun, festive way to bring the community together and celebrate the season with creativity. I especially appreciated how it connected students, faculty, and staff in a lighthearted setting that really captured the energy and spirit of Scheller.
What is the biggest myth about Scheller College?
People assume that there is a demographic monolith with the types of students in the program, but I was surprised to find out that so many of my cohort members worked in various fields like computer science, the film and music industry, biotech, and so many other unique backgrounds. No matter where you started out, Scheller has a community where you can find a sense of belonging!
What was your career journey in the M.S. Major in Management program?
My goal throughout the program was to transition into corporate strategy, and I’m proud to share that I’ve accepted a position as a senior strategy consultant after graduation!
What are the top two items on your professional bucket list?
- Lead strategy for a global company solving real-world problems at the intersection of business and technology
- Develop a platform that connects women professionals with mentorship, job opportunities, and business resources
What was a moment when you had to practice persistence and/or resilience while in the M.S. Major in Management program?
One of the toughest moments this year was juggling multiple rounds of interviews while also managing finals and group projects. Balancing the demands of job recruitment with academic responsibilities required a lot of persistence, time management, and mental resilience. It was overwhelming at times, but staying focused on my long-term goals (and winter break!) helped me push through.
What is the biggest lesson you gained from your Scheller M.S. Major in Management degree?
Imposter syndrome is real, but so is your growth! I truly learned how to trust my voice and my strengths.
What will you be doing to celebrate your graduation?
I am planning a New York City trip with a couple friends I made in the program!
What is a fun fact about yourself?
I keep a running list of roller coasters around the world I want to ride!
