Professor Han Zhang, the Steven A. Denning Professor in Technology & Management, was honored with the Association for Information Systems (AIS) Fellow award during the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) in Hyderabad, India, on Monday, December 11.

This prestigious award recognizes individuals for their outstanding contributions to research, teaching, and service in the field of information systems, spanning both local and global domains. AIS is the primary professional organization for information systems researchers, boasting members from around 100 countries.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to receive this prestigious AIS Fellow award. My academic journey began at the Scheller College of Business, and I am sincerely grateful for the unwavering support I have received from Scheller over the past 23 years,” said Zhang.

Aside from his professorship in Information Technology Management, Zhang is also the faculty director of the Denning Technology and Management (T&M) program at the Scheller College of Business. His research focuses on online trust and reputation, user-generated content, online healthcare, and human-AI interaction.

He is currently the editor-in-chief of Information & Management, a journal in the Senior Scholars’ List of Premier Journals, and he also serves as a senior editor for MIS Quarterly.
