Han Zhang, Steven A. Denning Professor in Technology & Management at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business has been appointed editor-in-chief of the journal Information & Management.

“Information & Management is among the pioneering academic journals in the information systems field. It is an essential journal with a substantial impact factor. I am very honored to be selected for the editor-in-chief role,” said Zhang.

The journal, published by Elsevier, was founded in 1977 and is one of the oldest academic journals in the information systems field. It aims to achieve several objectives, including gathering and sharing information about cutting-edge advancements in the field of information systems, supplying materials for education and training, fostering continued advancements in methodology and applications, and more.

“The journal is on a positive trajectory,” said Zhang. “I am committed to collaborating with our esteemed editorial board members to take it to new heights. Ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion among our editorial board members is my top priority as the editor-in-chief. I believe that fostering those things is foundational to the continued growth and advancement of our journal.”

Information & Management currently has an impact favor of 9.9 and has been included in the Senior Scholars’ List of Premier Journals.
