The Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business (Center) is proud to announce that the Net Impact at Scheller College of Business – MBA Chapter has been selected as the 2023-24 U.S. Graduate Chapter of the Year by Net Impact.

According to a Net Impact article, awards are given to chapters demonstrating dedication to Net Impact’s mission to inspire and equip emerging leaders to build a more just and sustainable world. Each year, from its network of more than 300 global chapters, Net Impact honors five distinguished chapters. Selected finalists submit videos and reports to a panel of judges from Net Impact’s Board of Directors and advisory council. (Click here to watch the video submitted by the Scheller chapter.) This year’s winners were chosen based on their leadership, community service, and commitment to Net Impact’s values.

Chapters are judged based on their record of achievements in the previous academic year. In 2022-23, the Scheller MBA chapter sent 16 members to the ClimateCAP conference, collaborated on a sustainability event with the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and the Emory University Goizueta Business School, and hosted events focused on equity, climate tech, and more.

Emily Bodiford, MBA ’23, who served as the chapter’s president in 2022-23, says, “We are incredibly proud of our team’s contribution to fostering greater understanding for sustainable business practices and our dedication to strengthening and advocating for our community’s wellbeing, which has led us to win Chapter of the Year. This recognition underscores our commitment to driving positive change and creating lasting impact within our community and beyond.”

The Center financially supports the Scheller chapter. Arianna Robinson, assistant director of business operations, serves as staff advisor.
