The Cecil B. Day Program for Business Ethics Presents Carla Zachery
Carla W. Zachery began her career at Georgia Tech in May 1996. . Her background in accounting and administration spans almost 30 years, which includes both U.S Government and State Accounting. She has worked in various departments in her almost 23 years at Georgia Tech. Her first position was in Accounts Payable as a Clerk III, where her responsibility was entering encumbrances for the entire campus into the purchasing system.
As the years went on, she moved to other positions at Georgia Tech and gained knowledge and expertise in administration and finance/accounting. She knew that she needed additional education so she enrolled in the undergraduate program at Georgia State University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She received her B.B.A degree in Accounting from Georgia State University in 2007. She transferred to the Scheller College of Business shortly before her graduation. She remained in Scheller for 8 years. In 2015, she transferred to Engineered Biosystems Building, which was a newly created shared services department.
She is currently the Director of Business Operations for the Engineered Biosystems Building where she has oversight of Administration, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology.
