Seletha Butler, MBA ‘10, joined the Scheller College of Business as an assistant professor of business law and ethics in July 2011. Her research agenda focuses on corporate governance issues, specifically the structure, obligations, and activities of boards of directors, and shareholder rights. She teaches courses involving the intersection of business, law, ethics, and policy, including developing a Corporate Governance course for undergraduate students.
Prior to joining the College, she spent 14 years with global law firms in Atlanta and Chicago and one of the nation’s largest commercial banking organizations, where her legal practice focused on complex domestic and global commercial transactions and corporate governance matters. A native of Alabama, Butler holds a BS in corporate finance, summa cum laude, from The University of Alabama, a JD from Harvard Law School, and a MBA (global focus) from Georgia Tech. She is married to Judge Willie J. Lovett Jr.
Kathie Day, IM ‘78, lives intown in Historic Inman Park. She is two weeks shy of a being a native Atlantan. Day is the mother of three: Lindsay, a Southern Methodist University grad living in Colorado; David, at Emory; and Hannah, in her last semester at Auburn. She is an eclectic entrepreneur and community volunteer (from ballet to zoo to Georgia Tech).
She is the owner of Kathleen Day & Associates, Inc., a residential construction company building and renovating homes from intown Atlanta to the suburbs to coastal Georgia to tiny houses. She is an 800-mile-section hiker of the Appalachian Trail and last but not least, a Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket sports fan.
Peyton Day, IM ‘83, is an entrepreneur, a Marriott Franchise Partner for 12 years (hotel developer and operator), and CEO of Roam, a startup Innovative Workplace concept. He and his wife, Vicky, have three children: Austin (23), a Georgia Tech grad; Zach (21), a junior at Clemson; and Courtney, a freshman at Auburn.
Marion Glover, IM ‘65, is President of Glover Capital, Inc. and Vice President of Glover & Associates, Inc., which are investment banking and consulting firms that assist owners of businesses in selling their companies and acquiring other businesses, primarily in the beverage area. He spent over 14 years with The Coca-Cola Company, as VP of corporate strategic planning and VP of corporate financial planning and information systems. He has also served as president of a food manufacturing company and president of a diversified investment management company. A dean’s list graduate of Georgia Tech, he holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
He is a trustee emeritus of the Georgia Tech Foundation, a member of Atlanta Roundtable, and of the Board of The John and Mary Franklin Foundation, Inc. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Scheller College and was inducted into its Academy of Distinguished Alumni in 2007. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Columbia Seminary. Glover was recognized in 2013 by the national fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon entering its Circle of Excellence.
Dennis James, IM ‘92, is CEO of International Media Technologies, a marketing firm with primary focus on digital marketing in international markets. He also owns a credit report monitoring business in the UK with some partners. He has a previous background in the consumer finance space (CompuCredit) as well as corporate finance at SunTrust.
He and his wife, Molly, are the parents of three boys, a 12-year-old and nine-year-old twins, all at Holy Innocents and avid baseball players whose teams James usually coaches.
