For the second year in a row, U.S. News & World Report ranked Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business undergraduate Business Analytics program #1 for Business Analytics (public universities) and #3 for Business Analytics (all universities) in the U.S.
“It is an honor to be recognized as one of the nation’s best undergraduate business analytics programs, said Dr. Sridhar Narasimhan Gregory J. Owens Professor of IT Management and Faculty Co-Director of the Business Analytics Center. “This reflects not only our continued commitment to excellence in business analytics and quantitative education, but also our valuable partnerships with corporate leaders in business analytics.”
Rankings are based on peer assessment surveys from accredited colleges and universities. Georgia Tech’s business analytics program ranks just behind MIT (#1) and Carnegie Mellon (#2).
"We are excited to once again rank so highly on a national level,” said Business Analytics Center Managing Director Keith Werle. “Interestingly, we are also ranked #1 by Scheller’s students; the business analytics certificate was the most popular undergraduate certificate earned by graduating Scheller students this past May.”
Overall, Scheller College of Business ranked No. 19 in the U.S. Four other undergraduate business specialties were also ranked in the top 10 in the nation. The College ranked No. 5 in management information systems, No. 5 in quantitative analysis, No. 9 in supply chain/logistics, and No. 10 in production/operations management.
“As more and more companies increasingly rely on data, it’s important to be able to use data to generate business insights,” summed up Associate Dean Soumen Ghosh. “Whether our students concentrate in business analytics or another concentration such as marketing or finance, Georgia Tech Scheller provides a foundation of excellence in business analytics for our students to use throughout their careers.”
