Four faculty members at the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business recently received awards from INFORMS, the leading international association for operations research and analytics professionals.
- Abhishek Deshmane, assistant professor in Operations Management, won first place in the 2023 TIMES Best Dissertation Competition. He also won second place in the 2023 Social Media Analytics Section’s Student Paper Competition.
- Pan Li, assistant professor in Information Technology Management, was awarded the INFORMS Information Systems Society (ISS) Design Science Award.
- Morvarid Rahmani, associate professor of Operations Management, won second place in the Service Science Best Cluster Paper Competition.
- Karthik Ramachandran, Dunn Family Professor of Operations Management, won second place in the Service Science Best Cluster Paper Competition.
Two Ph.D. graduates from Scheller were also recognized.
- Chris Green, Ph.D. ’23, was a co-author with Morvarid Rahmani and Karthik Ramachandra in the Service Science Best Cluster Paper Competition.
- Shubhobrata Palit, Ph.D. ’23, was a finalist in the 2023 TIMES Best Dissertation Competition.
