Scheller College of Business student Ben Crom received accolades in Poets & Quants’ "10 Military Veterans To Watch From the MBA Class of 2020.”
The United States Merchant Marine Academy graduate, who describes himself as an “avid bicyclist and rugby player, interested in the strategic impacts of business decisions,” served as flag aide to the director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency in the U.S. Navy before beginning Scheller’s Full-time MBA program in the fall of 2018.
“I had the opportunity to serve as a flag aide to two different three-star directors of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency,” Crom said last year. “I was able to travel with President Donald Trump; sit in on meetings with the Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State; prepare and accompany the Director of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency to testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee; and witness government and international relations at an extremely high level.”
Crom praises Scheller’s Jones MBA Career Center and MBA Student Ambassadors as two reasons he chose the College. Since his enrollment, he’s gotten involved with the Scheller Veterans Club.
Scheller MBA students Joseph Carothers and Daniel Jester are among veterans profiled in Poets & Quants' "Meet the Class of 2020."
