This episode of The Intersection is one of two in our Entrepreneur Series where we talk to two outstanding Executive MBA students about their journeys with entrepreneurism.
After Christian White completed 6.5 years as an Army Officer he decided he wanted to transition to civilian life and pursue an MBA, where Georgia Tech was at the top of his list. Christian wanted to transition to Technology and he knew that Scheller, being at the intersection of business and technology, was the right place for him.
Christian caught the entrepreneur bug early on. As a child he knew two things: he wanted to go into the military, and he wanted to start his own business. Christian is participating in the Management of Technology (MOT) Program where he met his current business partner, also named Christian, on the first day.
Christian and Christian started Risk3Sixty, a company that aims to simplify security and compliance to help business leaders focus on growing their business, currently working with mostly high growth technology firms.
Christian has two key rules for starting a business: get the right team and cash flow is king. He also credits his Economics and Accounting professors for making their students think about things and not giving them the easy answer. Those are two of the classes he has applied the most so far.
Christian also has a student education program for entrepreneurs called 445 Advisors. The name came from the fact that the only time in his busy day he has to do this is from 4:45 to 6:45 in the morning. He helps budding entrepreneurs hone in on ideas and develop a business plan and go-to-market strategy.
