A Tradition 20 Years in the Making

Join us to celebrate our annual MBA and M.S. Major in Management Crawfish Boil tradition at the Scheller College of Business. Incoming, current, and former students flock to the Scheller Courtyard once a year in Spring to enjoy live music and connect over traditional Louisiana Crawfish boil fare. Families welcome!

Annual MBA Crawfish BoilHistory of the Crawfish Boil

The annual MBA and M.S. Major in Management Crawfish Boil began in the early 2000s by former Scheller Organizational Behavior professor and associate dean, Nate Bennett. Dr. Bennett started the tradition by hosting Full-Time MBA students at his home in the spring, bringing his New Orleans roots to Atlanta with a crawfish boil.

Soon, the Boil grew too large for a backyard gathering, so the College of Business began hosting it in the courtyard. Dr. Bennett continued to support the event for many years before leaving Georgia Tech in 2012.

By the time of Dr. Bennett’s departure, the Crawfish Boil had become a beloved event on the Scheller College of Business calendar. Students and staff now continue the tradition – a hallmark event to connect prospective, current, and former Scheller faces over food, fun, and the celebration of changing seasons.
