Prior to joining Scheller, Tonya served as Chief Diversity Officer and Title IX Coordinator of Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia for seven years. She has also served as Director of Education and Outreach of the Tubman Museum (2012 - 2016) in Macon and Executive Membership and Camp & Program Director of the Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia, Inc. (2001 - 2012).
Tonya earned her B.A. in English and Philosophy at Wesleyan College, Master of Theology (MTh) and Licensed Ministry at Christian Life School of Theology, Certificate of Trauma-Informed Practices through Columbia College, and Certification for Human Rights Education through the U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights of Washington D.C.
