Prior to joining the Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Orlova was Assistant Dean for Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects at the George Washington University School of Business where she led the administrative aspects of the school’s strategic planning process and the AACSB accreditation process. She also oversaw the planning, outreach and execution of the George Talks Business speaker series, Board of Advisors and Corporate Council meetings, rankings, and the GW Business & Policy Forum, among other highly visible initiatives.
Dr. Orlova has more than twenty years of experience in higher education. She served as Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York and lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages for humanities at Petrozavodsk State University in Russia.
Dr. Orlova received her doctorate in Education from the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development, her master’s in Education from the College of Saint Rose, and her bachelor's degree in History from Petrozavodsk State University in Russia.
