Biography

Adrian Gardiner is a full-time lecturer in the Information Technology Management area. Prior to Adrian joining the Scheller College of Business for the fall 2019 semester, he was an Associate Professor within the Department of Enterprise Systems and Analytics at Georgia Southern University. In that role, Adrian championed new programs in business analytics and was involved in delivering courses in the areas of SAP, business intelligence, advanced analytics, and database, to name a few. During his tenure at Georgia Southern University, Adrian received numerous awards and recognitions for his contribution to teaching excellence. He has also been president of the Southern Association for Information Systems, as well as having held other positions on the Southern AIS Executive Board.

Before moving to the US in 2003, Adrian was on faculty at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia within the Department of Information Systems & Technology Management. It was there he received his Ph.D. in Information Systems. Adrian has also been on the faculty of the University of Wollongong and the Queensland University of Technology in Australia. Adrian also has a background in accounting, having worked for Coopers & Lybrand, and holds a Master of Financial Management degree from the University of Queensland in Australia.

Adrian has a special interest in SAP education and is a current SAP Certified Application Associate Consultant (an SAP industry qualification). He is also a member of the Australian Computer Society. Adrian's industry experience has been in banking, insurance, and consulting.
