Currently serving as the Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance and Chief Business Officer at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Bolton’s role is to serve as a member of the Institute’s executive leadership team and lead in developing administrative and operational strategies across the enterprise in support of Georgia Tech’s strategic plan.
Dr. Bolton's impactful career extends beyond the confines of the Institute. In her previous role as the Executive Vice Chancellor for Administration and Chief Administrative Officer at Washington University, Dr. Bolton was at the helm of strategic decision-making and operational oversight. Her role involved providing strategic counsel to top university officials, steering the development of a university-wide cybersecurity strategy, and overseeing a monumental $150M+ project to upgrade core administrative systems. Managing 12 departments and more than 1,600 employees, Dr. Bolton has consistently demonstrated her prowess in fiscal stewardship and building fruitful partnerships.
Recognized as a community leader by the New Orleans Gambit and St. Louis Titan 100, Dr. Bolton has played key roles in various board positions, exemplifying her commitment to community service. Her inclusive leadership style, collaborative approachability, and knack for energizing teams have earned her respect and admiration.
Armed with a Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in Organizational Psychology and an MBA in Business Administration, Dr. Bolton has not only honed her academic expertise but has also acquired certifications in risk management, executive coaching, and diversity executive training.
Dr. Shantay N. Bolton is actively engaged in various civic initiatives, demonstrating her commitment to community service and making a positive impact beyond the academic realm. Some of her notable civic engagements include her participation as an educational missionary with Healing Haiti, her leadership role as an International Director with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Organizational Leadership, and her involvement in the Homegrown St. Louis Regional Steering Committee.
