As a Business & Marketing Strategist, Clarence Williams is a technology leader who leverages Agile methodologies to drive Transformation and Organization Change Management (OCM) within small to large size enterprises. As a creative and intuitive thinker, he brings exceptional knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), data analytics tools, enterprise architecture, and application security concepts to engagements. Complementing his technical skills are his exceptional communication abilities and passion for mentoring and coaching teams to drive real, measurable results.
A consulting leader with a history of driving change within high-performing organizations, Clarence is an adept and creative Agile coach. His mission is to bring big company applications to small and mid-sized community businesses. The key to this effort is partnering with business leaders and gaining buy-in to the Agile process. Recognizing that a new way of doing things can be quite daunting, he is committed to helping companies transition from waterfall to Agile as seamless as possible. He builds consensus with business partners to transform repetitive processes into iterative ones. Rather than engaging in the relentless and futile pursuit of perfection, Clarence focuses on continuous improvement. For him, Agile is a journey, not a destination.
Clarence has worked with prominent companies within the technology sector, helping them optimize their software development processes. He led a team to create test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), and continuous integration in support of a collaboration between AT&T and Apple, which drove the rapid growth of more than 200%per month. He also engineered an enterprise-wide initiative that took the organization from waterfall to Agile, reducing the meantime to resolve (MTTR) down to 24 hours from more than 90 days.
Clarence is a certified SAFe® Professional, Scaled Agile Release Train Engineer (RTE), Certified SAFe® Program Consultant (SPC) and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). He earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and has completed fundraising triathlons to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He presently lives in the Atlanta, Georgia, area.
