Hometown: Sylhet, Bangladesh
What is something on your bucket list?
Complete the pilgrimage to Mecca. Muslims only need to do it once, and I plan on trying to complete it before I'm an old grandpa.
What’s a favorite place you’ve traveled to and why?
Bangladesh, since I moved from Bangladesh when I was young, I don't remember anything at all. When I went back for the first time, I loved it so much. I could finally meet my grandparents, Uncles, Aunties, and all my relatives. They showed me around and we had such a great time. It hurt so much when summer vacation ended, and I had to leave.
What’s your favorite family tradition?
Drinking Chai everyday with the entire family a few hours before sunset. It is such a great time, and I look forward to it every day. We use it as a time to decompress and unwind. We talk about our day and share our thoughts about the future or feel nostalgic about the past. I have learned so many things about my family history and culture.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
During my internship at G+D Mobile Security I completed a project that was showcased at The GSMA Mobile World Congress in Los Angeles, California. The project was called Smart City which displayed what a city street could look like with live sensor data and the ability to control it.
What is your latest book recommendation?
“Atomic Habits” by James Clear. I wish I had read this in high school. Building good habits is tough and this book make the whole process so much easier and manageable.
What is your favorite Atlanta restaurant?
Nori Nori in Sandy Springs has the best sushi in town. I've taken so many friends and family there and they all say it's amazing. There are so many types of sushi and desserts to choose from.
What is your favorite comfort food or family recipe?
Chicken Tikka Masala. It may not be an Indian dish, but it always manages to hit the spot.
