Hometown: I immigrated from Trinidad and Tobago when I was 5 years old and grew up in Queens, New York.
What's something on your bucket list?
I would like to travel to West and South Africa, Bali, and the Maldives.
What actor would you cast to play yourself in a movie about yourself and why?
Viola Davis because she is fierce and fun.
What's your favorite place you've traveled to and why?
Grand Cayman. You will find beautiful beaches, friendly people, and great food. It’s a place where you can have lots of fun or just relax.
Favorite family tradition:
Making Caribbean rum cake at Christmas time. It’s an entire production that everyone can participate in, especially the end result.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Turning crafting into a small business called Hope Village Designs. What started as a stress reliever and creative outlet, evolved into creating for paying customers. It’s still relaxing and fun. I began with beaded jewelry and now I’m into rhinestone blinging.
What did you want to be when you were small?
A pediatrician, anesthesiologist, or medical examiner. One of my favorite shows was “Quincy ME.” I started nursing school and hated it. I’m glad I figured that out early.
What is your latest book recommendation?
“Becoming” by Michelle Obama. It reminds you to learn the lessons in each experience, and to be bold and use it to better yourself and those around you.

Dedicated to family, friends, having fun, and bringing those around me along for the ride.
