What is something on your bucket list?

I want to tour Italy, especially the food on the Stanley Tucci “Searching for Italy” show.

What is a favorite place you’ve traveled to and why?

We lived in Huntington Beach, California for six years and absolutely loved it. The laid-back vibe, surfer culture, the beach, the California weather, and lots of things for my kids to do. It was such an awesome place to be when they were little. We go back to visit whenever we can.

What is your favorite family tradition?

A favorite tradition is getting Chipotle after my son’s high school football games. Or, sleeping in on Christmas day now that my kids are older.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Helping my kids succeed in sports, music, or academics is one of my proudest accomplishments.

What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Raising teenage daughters. Once you get to that point in life, you’ll know what I’m talking about.

What is your latest book recommendation?

“The Storyteller: Tales of Life and Music” by Dave Grohl. Growing up in Seattle, it was impossible to not be familiar with the band Nirvana. The stories he tells are connected to my childhood and it is so interesting to read of his experiences in both Nirvana and the Foo Fighters.

What is your favorite Atlanta restaurant?

Cheba Hut. I was introduced to these awesome sandwiches in Madison, Wisconsin while pursuing my PhD at the University of Wisconsin. I was beyond excited to learn they have a location in Midtown, just outside of the Georgia Tech campus.

What is your favorite comfort food or family recipe?

Homemade pizza in a wood fire oven is the best comfort food. I have always loved pizza, but the pizza oven was a game changer.
