Hometown: Washington, D.C.
What's something on your bucket list?
I want to continue my travels and see as much of this world as possible. I enjoy experiencing different cultures and people.
What's your favorite place you've traveled to and why?
Peru. I visited several cities, each one exquisitely beautiful with diverse cultures and amazing food!
Favorite family tradition:
Since elementary school, my mom and I would reserve a day (usually Christmas Eve) to have breakfast at IHOP, followed by a day of Christmas shopping for family and friends. My mom would even try to shop for me and hide gifts in the trunk. I always looked forward to this day with such anticipation. What started as a one-time last-minute chore has become a most cherished mother-daughter tradition that continues to this day!
What is your proudest accomplishment?
I don't want to pinpoint a single accomplishment, because I'm proud of everything that I have done. Without every accomplishment, big or small, I wouldn't be where or who I am today.
What did you want to be when you were small?
When I was younger, I wanted to be an architect. I was even gifted a subscription to “Architectural Digest” and sketchbooks by family and friends.
My latest book recommendation:
“Americanah” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adiche
My life story in exactly one sentence:
Just a DC girl working her way to the C-suite!
My favorite restaurant in Atlanta:
The Real Milk and Honey
My favorite comfort food or family recipe:
My grandma used to make a rum cake that was absolutely amazing! Since her passing, my uncle has taken over the task, and I’m sure she’s proud. He was definitely paying attention when she made it.
