To be considered as a candidate for the Scheller College of Business Dean's Scholarship and Faculty Merit Scholarship, a student must simply:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Be an entering Business Administration freshman for the Atlanta campus (transfer students are not eligible)
- Attend one on-campus interview event if selected as a semi-finalist for either scholarship.
- Dean's Scholarship: Apply for admission to Georgia Tech by October 15.
- Faculty Merit Scholarship: Apply for admission to Georgia Tech by January 10.

Applying for the Scheller College of Business Dean’s Scholarship and the Faculty Merit Scholarship is easy: simply submit a Georgia Tech application for freshman admission. There is no separate scholarship application for College of Business scholarships for freshmen. A Georgia Tech appliation for freshman admission can be completed online at www.admission.gatech.edu.
Apply to Georgia Tech by October 15 for the Dean's Scholarship
Apply to Georgia Tech by January 10 for the Faculty Merit Scholarship
To be eligible for both Scheller College of Business scholarships for freshmen, apply to Georgia Tech by October 15. Students are strongly encouraged to apply to Georgia Tech by October 15 so they are eligible for both scholarships.
There is no minimum GPA or test score requirement. Factors such as financial need, gender, ethnicity, state of residence, and legacy status are not considered. The selection process is based completely on merit.

| Students will be selected for the semifinal round of competition on the
basis of the application for admission, including high school grades,
the leadership and activity record, a personal statement, and
standardized test scores. Successful applicants should demonstrate
excellent grades in their schools’ most challenging courses, a strong
work ethic, exceptional communication skills, outstanding personal
achievements, and leadership outside the classroom in a variety of
activities including academic and business clubs, work experiences,
community service, music, drama, sports and/or research. |
The Georgia Tech application:
The application and admission for Georgia Tech is processed and overseen by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at Georgia Tech. To be eligible for the Scheller College of Business Dean’s Scholarship and Faculty Merit Scholarship, all guidelines that apply to the application deadlines for freshman admission apply to Scheller College of Business Scholarships for freshmen as well.
The Georgia Tech application is available at the Office of Undergraduate Admissions webpage.
Late or incomplete applications to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, as well as any items submitted or postmarked after the Office of Undergraduate Admissions deadline, cannot be considered in either Scheller College of Business Scholarship for freshmen selection process. Submitting your application to Georgia Tech is not binding in any way.

Scholarships for freshmen are based only on the Georgia Tech freshman
admission application, you should take great care to ensure
thoroughness, high quality and accuracy to this application.
