The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA): a four-year program at Georgia Tech.
- The BSBA allows students to complete all degree requirements, one semester abroad and two internship semesters in four years.
- The four-year curriculum check-list is the suggested order in which to take classes. However, typically students do not complete the degree in the order shown on the check-list. Students build their own personal four year plan with their advisor, moving around courses on the checklist depending on career and personal goals.
- Most freshmen take one or two business classes their freshman year to begin learning about the BSBA major.
- Study abroad programs, internships, and classes are offered every semester (fall, spring and summer). Students work with their advisors to determine which semesters are best for these opportunities
Classes taken within the four-year BSBA program are designated into four areas:
Georgia Tech Core Classes
|
- Required general education courses, including English, math, history, health, computer science, humanities, social sciences, and lab science
- These classes are shown in the first year on the four-year curriculum check-list. Students who are awarded AP, IB or transfer credit for these courses can take more advanced classes earlier.

Business Administration Core Classes
|
- Students complete a required introductory course for each discipline in business, allowing students to survey each area of business before choosing the concentration.
- Core courses help students gain a broad understanding of all areas of business so students can understand how their concentration fits into the success of the whole business enterprise.
- Starting core classes early in the program allows students to be eligible for internships in the freshman and sophomore year.

Business Administration Major Concentration Courses
|
- Typically after completing most core courses, students choose a major concentration in one of the following areas:
- Accounting
- Finance
- Information Technology Management
- Leading and Managing Human Capital
- Marketing
- Operations & Supply Chain Management
- General Management
- Major concentrations build competitiveness for top jobs within specific career areas after graduation.
- The current student concentration website lists the class requirements for each concentration.
- Management Elective Course Descriptions are listed here (all not offered every semester).
- BSBA students are expected to complete two internships related to concentrations they want to explore. These help solidify career goals and build marketable experience to increase competitiveness for full-time positions at graduation.
|
|
|
Non-major and Free Electives
|
- BSBA students must complete six credits of non-management courses and ten credits of free elective courses.
- These courses allow students to pursue other interests and to diversify their education.
- These classes may count towards a minor or a certificate.
