The Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) and the Bachelor of
Science in Business Administration (BSBA) prepares students in the full
range of intermediate and advanced business areas of finance,
accounting, operations and supply chain management, information
technology management, strategic management, marketing,
entrepreneurship, international business, and e-commerce.
Four-year plans:
- BSBA (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration) students.
The BSBA is required for all freshmen and transfer students who are
admitted to Georgia Tech for Summer 2011 and after. Current Tech
students who submit change of major forms to join the Scheller College of Business after January 17, 2011 will have the BSBA degree. Current BS
Management students may change their majors to the BSBA degree after
January 17, 2011.
- BSM (Bachelor of Science in Management) students.
Any current BSM student may remain BSM. Any Tech student joining the Scheller College of Business through change of major prior to January 17, 2011
may graduate with the BSM degree. BSM students may change their majors
to BSBA after January 17, 2011, with the exception of Spring 2011 BSM
graduates. The first BSBA degrees will be awarded with the Summer 2011
graduating class.
Georgia Tech Core Courses:
The BSM and BSBA curricula consist of a series of required courses
involving foundation courses such as English, mathematics, , humanities,
social sciences, computer science, health, and laboratory science
courses as required of all Georgia Tech students. View GT core

Management Core Courses:
The following courses are the management core courses required to
earn the BSM degree: ACCT 2101 & 2101; MGT 2106, 2200, 2250, 2251,
3062, 3101, 3102, 3300, 3501, 3660, and 4195.
Management Electives: Students use Management
electives to complete concentrations and specializations within the
major and build competitiveness for top jobs within specific career
areas after graduation. While BSM students can complete Management
electives from a variety of Management disciplines to complete their
18-credit MGT elective requirement, BSBA students must use their 18
credits of Management elective to complete one of the approved
Management concentrations. Students are also welcome to finish one or more of our Management certificates.
Non-Management Electives: Students must
complete a minimum of six credit hours of non-management electives,
which are courses taught outside the Scheller College of Business. These offer
students an opportunity to start certificates and minors outside the
College.
Free Electives:
Free electives are courses offered by any discipline on campus,
both inside and outside the Scheller College of Business. The number of free
electives students must complete varies depending on the degree program.
Check with you advisor to determine the exact number of free electives
you need to graduate. Free electives offer students the opportunity to
finish certificates or minors outside the Scheller College of Business or to
complete additional certificates within the Scheller College of Business.
