Information Technology Management Certificate

The Scheller College of Business offers the certificate in Information Technology Management (ITM). The certificate is available to all undergraduate students at Georgia Tech. All students must take 12 semester hours beyond the required business administration curriculum course (MGT 2200).

The ITM Certificate focuses on the design and development of computer-based business information systems and the role they play in organizations. It covers such topics as database design, systems analysis and design, data communications, and other courses in concepts employed in the application of information technology to business activities.

A grade of "C" or higher earned in each of the courses is required for students to qualify for the ITM certificate.

Course Requirements for ITM Certificate (All Majors)

Required Courses

Three (3) courses are required:

MGT 2200 Information Technology

MGT 4058 Database Management Systems OR CS 4400 Introduction to Database Systems

MGT 4053 Business Data Communications

Two (2) or more should be chosen from the following:
