Georgia Tech’s IMPACT Speaker
Series will feature alumnus Mary Rockett Brock, co-owner of WNBA team The
Atlanta Dream, on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
Brock, whose lecture is titled "Dream Big –
Driving Success in the Business of Women and Sports," will speak at 4:30
p.m. in LeCraw Auditorium of the Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business (800
West Peachtree Street).
Free and open to the public, the IMPACT series brings notable business
executives, high-tech entrepreneurs, and intellectual leaders to the
College. The Ehmer lecture is sponsored by Tech's Institute for Leadership
and Entrepreneurship, H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems
Engineering, and Student Alumni Association.
Brock leads the only professional sports franchise in the Southeast owned by
women. In its five-year history as an expansion team,The Atlanta Dream has been
in the playoffs four years and made the finals twice.
In addition to her focus on building The Atlanta Dream, Brock is very
committed to Georgia Tech. She is co-chair of Campaign Georgia Tech with her
husband, John, a Georgia Tech graduate and CEO of Coca-Cola Enterprises.
