Ravi Subramanian, associate professor of operations management, is the new faculty director of the Steven A. Denning Technology & Management Program.

Designed to groom leaders who possess both managerial and technological know-how, the Denning Program cross-trains students in Georgia Tech's Colleges of Business, Engineering, Sciences, and Computing. The two-year, 22-credit program, which was started in 2008, enables students to work on real-world projects of sponsoring Corporate Affiliates.

"The Denning Program has been a home run for Georgia Tech," says Steve Salbu, dean of Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business. "Ravi and his team will take the program to yet greater heights of excellence and opportunity for undergraduates in the Scheller College of Business and other Colleges at Georgia Tech."

Subramanian, who joined the Scheller College faculty in 2005, also holds the Steven A. Denning Professorship of Technology & Management in his new role as faculty director of the program. His research interests include the intersection of operations/supply chain decisions with environmental sustainability, and he has published in a number of leading journals.

Last year, Subramanian received the inaugural Paul Kleindorfer Award in Sustainability. In 2009, he received the College of Business' James F. Frazier Award for Teaching Excellence, and in 2012, he was voted Outstanding Core Professor of the Year by full-time MBA students.
