Georgia Tech College of Management's students, alumni, faculty, and staff are celebrating Women's History Month in March.

The theme of this year's Women's History Month is Women's Education – Women's Empowerment. In celebration, Georgia Tech College of Management has organized special events for the students, alumni, faculty, and staff of the business school during March.

Christina Shalley, a professor of organizational behavior, served as the catalyst in planning activities focusing on women's empowerment in the College. As holder of the National Science Foundation ADVANCE professorship, Shalley works year-round to find ways to improve the climate for women at Georgia Tech and facilitate women's advancement to the highest ranks of academic leadership.

The College's activities around Women’s History Month included:

• A luncheon for the College's women faculty and PhD students
• A networking breakfast featuring visiting professor Gail Evans, bestselling author of Play Like a Man, Win Like a Woman and She Wins, You Win. Evans is former executive vice president of CNN. More than 60 women alumni, students, faculty, and staff attended the event.
• A video highlighting some of the women in the College.
