Georgia Tech will conclude the Spring
2012 IMPACT Speaker Series on Wednesday April 11 with Meredith Rentz, CEO and
president of Medshare.
Rentz will speak at 4:30 p.m. in
LeCraw Auditorium of the College of Management (800 West Peachtree Street).
As head of MedShare, Rentz leads a
nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the environment and healthcare
through the efficient recovery and redistribution of surplus medical supplies
and equipment to underserved healthcare facilities in developing countries.
Prior to her MedShare appointment in
September 2011, Rentz served as chief operating officer for Points of Light
Institute, a national nonprofit with a mission to inspire,
equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world.
Rentz also previously served as chief administrative
officer for Emory Internal Medicine and worked in Deloitte Consulting's
Healthcare Strategy and Operations practice.
Free and open to the public, the
IMPACT Series brings notable business executives, high-tech entrepreneurs,
venture capitalists, and intellectual leaders to the College.
