Georgia Tech Business Network Hosting All-star Panel on Entrepreneurship

If you're thinking about starting a business or looking to drive innovation within a larger organization, consider attending an all-star panel discussion of investors and entrepreneurs at 6:30 p.m. Thurs. Oct. 11 at Scheller College of Business (LeCraw Auditorium).

Sponsored by the Georgia Tech Business Network, the event will feature a discussion on entrepreneurship and innovation by those who have successfully started businesses, sold companies, invested in startups, patented technologies, and led major corporations.

The event, which costs $15 (including appetizers and two drink tickets), will include panelists:                 

  • Stephen Fleming, vice president of Georgia Tech's Enterprise Innovation Institute, He is former general partner of $250 million early-stage venture-capital firm where he was responsible for 18 investments, 14 board seats, and nine successful exits.
  • Greg Foster , founder & CEO of Brightwhistle. He is a former partner at Noro-Moseley, executive at iXL and Silverpop, and founder of Southern Direct (acquired by Turner Broadcasting).
  • Paul Judge, vice president & chief research officer, Barracuda Networks, and executive chairman of Pindrop Security. Holding a PhD in computer science from Tech, Judge is a serial entrepreneur. He is founder of Purewire (acquired by Barracuda Networks) and lead inventor for 18 patent-pending security technologies).
  • Alan Taetle, general partner of Noro-Moseley. With 15 year in technology investing, Taetle is former executive vice president of Marketing and Business Development at MindSpring.

Mike Eckert, chairman of Atlanta Technology Angels, will moderate. He is former CEO of The Weather Channel and founder & CEO of Pathfire, where he raised over $120M in funding.
