GT CIBER Hosting France-Atlanta 2010 Events

Published on: 11-24-2010

Georgia Tech's Center for International Business Education and Research (GT CIBER) will host two workshops in connection with the "France-Atlanta 2010: Together Toward Innovation" conference, a series of 20 events to be offered November 29-December 12 throughout Atlanta.

The first of these GT CIBER-hosted workshops will be "Bridging the Atlantic: Leveraging Workforce and Intellectual Capital for International Business Success" on Tuesday November 30 in LeCraw Auditorium of Georgia Tech College of Management (800 West Peachtree Street). It will address the human resources and workforce training challenges of companies in a world where talent can be found across the street or across the world.

The next GT CIBER-hosted workshop will be "Promoting Sustainable Energy Resources" on Wednesday December 1 at the Georgia Pacific Auditorium (lobby level, 133 Peachtree Street). This event contrasts French and U.S. renewable energy policies and strategies, focusing on their respective strengths and weaknesses. Expert panelists will highlight the risks and opportunities in their specific renewable energy market areas.

"France-Atlanta 2010: Together Toward Innovation" events are co-sponsored by the Consulate General of France in Atlanta and Georgia Tech to focus on four major areas: science, business, culture and humanitarianism. The goal of the overall conference is to bring together American and French experts to exchange ideas and recent developments in subjects such as cardiovascular and cancer treatments, transportation, renewable energies, and humanitarian efforts in Haiti.

Nine of the events will be held on the Georgia Tech Campus. All events are open to the public. For more information, visit the France-Atlanta 2010 Website.
