Ajay Kohli, professor of marketing at Georgia Tech College of Management, recently received the prestigious Vijay Mahajan Award from the American Marketing Association Foundation (AMAF).
Presented annually to a single recipient since 2000, the award recognizes career contributions to advancements in marketing strategy.
Kohli, who is currently editor of the leading Journal of Marketing, joined Georgia Tech College of Management in 2008 as the Gary T. and Elizabeth R. Chair. Previously, he served on the faculty of Emory University, where he held the Isaac Stiles Hopkins Chair in Marketing.
Through the years, Kohli has won wide recognition for his research, including several “best paper” honors from top journals. He studies market orientation, market signaling, customer relationships, sales management, brand management, and organizational buying.
Kohli has multiple years of experience working in industry, mostly in sales and distribution management and marketing strategy consulting. He has consulted with many leading companies and led numerous executive education seminars around the world.
