General Atlantic Chairman Steven A. Denning will discuss "Investing for the Long Term: Embracing Globalization" on October 22 in Georgia Tech College of Management's IMPACT Speaker Series.

Denning, who will speak at 4:30 PM in LeCraw Auditorium, built General Atlantic into one of the leading global equity firms. It has more than $15 billion under management and offices in Greenwich, Connecticut; New York, New York; Palo Alto, California; São Paulo, Brazil; London, England; Dusseldorf, Germany; Hong Kong, and Mumbai, India.

Held by the College of Management and the Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship, the weekly IMPACT series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni, and members of the Atlanta community a free opportunity to network and learn from high-tech entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and notable business leaders.

Denning, IM 1970, is a former member of the board of trustees for the Georgia Tech Foundation. In 2007, his generous gift enabled creation of Georgia Tech College of Management's new Technology and Management Program for undergraduates and endowed the Steven A. Denning Professorship of Technology and Management.
