Deborah Turner, associate professor of accounting

The Georgia Society of CPAs recently selected Deborah Turner, associate professor of accounting at Georgia Tech, as the recipient of the 2007 Accounting Educator of the Year Award.

Accounting professor and associate dean Eugene Comiskey praises his colleague: "I cannot think of a more deserving recipient. Debby has devoted herself to Georgia Tech and to her students for more than 20 years. Her distinction as a teacher has been recognized many times over the years by the students of Georgia Tech.

"It is fitting that she now be recognized by the broader professional accounting community of the State of Georgia since she has played a pivotal role year after year in providing them with outstanding new employees."
