As the 2005-06 academic year raced to a close, Georgia Tech MBA students took time to honor their peers and faculty members for their dedication and excellence.
During their annual spring banquet, held at the Park Tavern, Bobby Henebry was honored as Outstanding Second-Year MBA Student and Michael Hambrick as Outstanding First Year MBA Student (awards voted on by their peers). The faculty named Benoit Cotnoir as MBA Student of the Year.
MBA students selected Frank Rothaermel, associate professor of strategic management, as Core Professor of the Year and Pat Dickson, assistant professor of strategic management, as Elective Professor of the Year.
At graduation May 6, the College recognized Stephen Selfridge for graduating with a 4.0 GPA as well as Graduate Students in Management (GSM) officers for 2005-06: Cotnoir (president), Selfridge (vice president), James Stefanakos (vice president of communications), Aldor Delp (vice president of operations), Jarrod West (vice president of finance), and Jeff Ramsaur (social chair).
The elected GSM officers for 2006-07 are Ryan Swanson, president; Blake Campbell, vice president; Meredith Baum, vice president for philanthropy and campus relatons; Elizabeth Thomson, vice president of finance; Dave Grayson, club chair; Megan Baker, marketing chair; Katie McGraw, social chair; Ashley Edmundson, external communication chair; and Richard Jucks, internal communication chair.
