Welch, who will speak at 11 AM in LeCraw Auditorium, helped boost General Electric's market value from $12 billion in 1981 to approximately $280 billion in 2001 during his 20-year tenure as CEO. He will sign copies of Winning, his new book on leadership, which will be available for sale at a reception immediately following the event.
Seating in the auditorium will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 AM. Additional access to the event will be available via large LCD screens in the common areas outside of the auditorium and in several large classrooms nearby.
Sponsored by Assurant Solutions, the weekly IMPACT series provides Georgia Tech students, alumni and the Atlanta community an opportunity to network and learn from high-tech entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and notable business leaders.
