Hemang C Subramanian is a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in Information Technology and Management.His research interests include studying Information Technology (ecommerce’s role) on market outcomes, studying choice behaviors of economic agents with respect to Usage of Technology and Mergers &Acquisition strategy in the Internet/Mobile Internet industry. Hemang specializes in causal and discrete choice econometrics in his research and has 1 research paper in the review and resubmit stage at a leading management journal, and another research paper submitted to the top Information systems journal. Hemang teaches the “Java and Android Programming” at Georgia Institute of Technology (MGT 4803) and has taught “Project Management” to professionals at Georgia Tech. Hemang has been an active member of the ISS,INFORMS and the Atlanta Technology Development Corporation (a local startup accelerator at Georgia Tech).
Prior to embarking on the Ph.D. programme, Hemang spent 11 years working in various engineering roles at Yahoo! Inc. and IBM Software labs India. Hemang has also held senior managerial positions at Yahoo! Inc. and at a mobile startup.
