Marketing Professor Emeritus Fred C. Allvine's broad research and teaching interests include economics, competition, and investment in addition to marketing. He is also a consultant for industry and a number of government agencies and frequently makes presentations before congressional committees.
Dr. Allvine teaches marketing principles and is the author of a book entitled Marketing Principles and Practices. He co-authored a book entitled The New State of the Economy which is the subject of a course he also teaches. Research on the possibilities of forecasting the stock market is another one of his interests, and he publishes articles on this topic and teaches a seminar on methods of modeling directions of the market. In addition, he has published several books and articles concerned with competition in the petroleum industry.
