MBA Pathway offers deferred admission exclusively for Georgia Tech undergrads to the Full-time and Evening MBA program.

We value the innovative spirit and excellent problem-solving skills of Georgia Tech students. Georgia Tech MBA Pathway provides undergraduate students from all disciplines a way to get a jump start on career plans by offering deferred admission to our MBA program.

MBA Pathway allows you to plan ahead and secure admission during the final year of your undergraduate studies. You'll work after graduation and then choose to enroll in our full-time format, or continue working while you earn your MBA in our evening format.

Application Deadline

The 2015 MBA Pathway application deadline is August 1, 2015.

To apply in 2015, your graduation date from the bachelor's program must be:

  • December 2014
  • May 2015
  • August 2015
How to Apply?

Submit the following information for a complete application. All information must be received for consideration:

  • MBA Pathway application
  • Resume
  • Copy of employment offer letter
  • Unofficial GMAT or GRE scores
  • One letter of recommendation in sealed envelope OR your recommender may send to the Georgia Tech MBA Admissions Office directly (referencing your full name and Georgia Tech Student ID Number)

Admissions Process

All complete applications will be reviewed by the director of admissions after August 1. Top applicants will receive an invitation to interview with the admissions committee. Interviews are held on campus or via Skype if you're outside the Atlanta area. Applicants will receive an admission decision by October 1.

We realize you may not have accepted your employment offer at the time you applied to MBA Pathway. In order to receive admission to the MBA program, you must provide us with a copy of your signed employment offer letter. We must approve all positions prior to offering admission.

Admitted Student Requirements
  • Work two years in a professional, Scheller MBA-approved position in the public, private, or nonprofit sector
  • Submit a complete MBA application by January 15, before the term you plan to begin
  • Confirm your admission through the Full-time or Evening MBA Admitted Student Website and submit enrollment fee to hold your place in the class
  • Students admitted through MBA Pathway in 2015 will first become eligible to start the Full-time or Evening MBA in 2017
  • You may defer your admission for up to one additional year, provided the GMAT or GRE scores you submitted with your MBA Pathway application are still valid when you start the MBA program (scores are valid 5 years from the test date)
  • Your admission to MBA Pathway does not require you to apply or enroll in the Georgia Tech MBA program
Financing Your MBA

Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business offers a variety of funding opportunities for the MBA program, including graduate assistantships and fellowships. Submitting the official MBA application by the required Full-time MBA Funding I Deadline or the Evening MBA Priority Deadline for the term you want to enroll will ensure you receive first consideration.
