What's something on your bucket list?

Scuba certification! I will most likely do it through the CRC. I want to because I love the ocean and I want to explore the water from below in some cool places.

What actor would you cast to play yourself in a movie about yourself and why?

Kathryn Heigel. I’ve been told we are very similar as she is goofy, laughs at herself easily, and smiles a lot.

What's your favorite place you've traveled to and why?

For spring break this year, I went to Northern Ireland and hiked the Coastal Causeway route which is a four-day hike along the coast with everlasting pastures, cliffs, and small towns filled with amazing people.

Favorite family tradition:

At the beginning of every year, my family comes together to reflect on what the past year has meant to us and how we want to live out the next year. We like to call it our ‘anthem’. It can be a word, phrase, mantra, or song that defines how you want to purposely live the year ahead. It’s pretty cool to see each other be intentional with our days and come together at the end of the year to share what we learned and how we grew.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

In eighth grade, I became friends with several girls from different friend groups and very different walks of life even though we were only in middle school. One night, I invited everyone to go to this event at my church where they spoke about pain (physical or mental), wounds from our past, and how there is hope for everyone no matter where they come from. Initially, a lot of the girls were not very close friends, but that night had been a space for all of us to come and talk about our struggles and the things we were going through. It was freeing to know that we all struggle and can help one another heal. I think it’s important that we recognize that mental health is so powerful and that we can only truly heal in the presence of the community. So, my proudest accomplishment would be bringing people together to get below the surface and talk about what really matters.

What did you want to be when you were small?

Some part of me has always wanted to work in the armed forces whether that be in the marines, FBI/CIA, or as an officer/firefighter. I think putting your life on the line to defend others really makes one purposeful in what they live for every day.

What is your latest book recommendation?

For a personal growth read, I’d recommend “Rest & War” by Ben Stuart. For a fun read, “The Kite Runner” by Khaled Hosseini

My life story in exactly one sentence:

I am on a journey to meet a lot of people, meet a lot of places, and do good while I’m here.

My favorite restaurant in Atlanta:

Hankook Taqueria

My favorite comfort food or family recipe:

Tabla Indian cuisine

My favorite comfort food or family recipe:

For every birthday growing up, my mom would make a shredded Hershey chocolate and vanilla bundt cake. It is simple, but amazing.
