Hometown: Medellin, Colombia

What's something on your bucket list?

I want to start a nonprofit in Medellin focused on serving single moms in underserved communities.

What's your favorite place you've traveled to and why?

Prague, Czech Republic. It is literally a real-life fairytale city with a rich and diverse history that spans many centuries. It sits at the crossroads of East and West, and best of all, I was able to explore it with locals that were gracious enough to show me many hidden treasures and haunts. Also, they have the best beer in the world!

Favorite family tradition:

We always celebrate Noche Buena (Christmas Eve) with traditional Colombian holiday food, music, and games.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

I am proud of the way I have managed my professional development, personal life and academic demands over the last year with continuous excitement and openness to new challenges.

What did you want to be when you were small?

I wanted to be a lawyer.

My latest book recommendation:

"Chip War" by Chris Miller is both timely and a fun read as it uncovers the fascinating history of the semiconductor industry and sheds light on the increasingly vital role this industry plays in both our everyday lives and geopolitics.

My life story in exactly one sentence:

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." Winston Churchill

My favorite restaurant in Atlanta:

Bocca Lupo

My favorite comfort food or family recipe:

Arroz con pollo (the Colombian version)
