What is something on your bucket list?

Visit Omaha Beach in Normandy, France

What is a favorite place you’ve traveled to and why?

Yosemite, California. There is something serene about the defining silence that accompanies you as you hike through the backcountry.

What is a favorite family tradition?

My family had this tradition where my parents would wait until they received their income tax to buy Christmas gifts.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

My proudest accomplishment was getting into Scheller. Hindsight is 20/20, but it was the first time I felt like I did something for myself.

What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

Mentally, walking away from my desk after having a profitable hour of day trading. I found it incredibly hard to fight my greed after making $500- $1,000 in the first hour of opening the market.

Physically, nighttime training during Mountain Phase at U.S. Army Ranger School. My team averaged an hour of sleep per night. This is part of the training and it made it challenging to manage my 40-man team when the sun went down. Nevertheless, during that time, I realized that everyone has their breaking point, and sometimes as a leader, you have to step out of your comfort zone and rally the team to get the job done.

Your life story in one sentence:

Immigrated to the U.S. when I was six and attended Arkansas State for my undergrad, and then served 7 years as an Infantry officer in the Army.

Your favorite Atlanta restaurant:

Noodoh Asian Fusion & Bar was one of the best places I've been to since arriving in Atlanta.

What is a favorite comfort food or family recipe?

I wouldn't characterize them as comfort food, but maybe a guilty pleasure. I enjoy eating frozen smoothie packs called "Acai Barry Guarana." They are made by a company called Sambaice and I've only found them at Target. I enjoy eating them because they are dairy free and not as calorically dense as Ice-cream.

Why did you choose to come to Scheller?

I chose Scheller because I wanted to be part of a program that has a track record of developing world-class business leaders and holds a commanding presence in management consulting.
